We are a well established Dental Clinic based on the Fylde Coast, we are proud to say we have been providing dental care across the Fylde Coast for over 25 years.
We provide high-quality NHS Dental Care and offer a range of private treatments including cosmetic dentistry. We offer a private referral facility to other dentists in the North West for specialist dental treatments including Dental Implants, Orthodontics, Periodontics (gum treatments) and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Our dental team consists of 5 dentists that have a variety of skills including some of the most qualified and specialised dental surgeons in the North West of England. Our team also consists of amazing talented nurses and administration staff that work alongside our dentists to provide the best care possible for all our patients.

Excellent Caring Practice For Nervous Patients
I am a very nervous patient, but not anymore after visiting the St Annes Dental Clinic, St Annes, Lancashire. This visit was an emergency visit as I was not registered with a dentist, but from the moment I arrived, I was put at ease by the dental nurses and the Dentist was just amazing. He talked me through everything on the Xray that had just been taken and totally put my mind at ease by explaining what was going to happen in a caring, kind, professional manner. I had to have my tooth extracted as it had cracked all the way to the root. I never felt a thing – Thank you so much St Annes Dental Clinic. To Gary and all the ladies who attended me on 24/02/2017, you were all fantastic, from my initial visit some weeks ago I could not say I was looking forward to Friday. In the past ….. even my company dentist had to see me in the waiting room not his surgery. So yes I was extremely apprehensive. Ten O’clock arrived “Mr Croft” here we go. Injection – “you ok?” “yes fine” That was it! Our Team
Having qualified from Newcastle University in 1988, Gary has undertaken numerous postgraduate qualifications and obtained the Membership of General Dental Surgeons (MGDS RCS 1992), a Masters Degree in Periodontology 1995 (gum treatment), a Membership of Restorative Dentistry (MRD) from The Royal College of Surgeon 1999 and the Faculty of General Dental practitioners specialist Diplomas in Implant Dentistry 2005 and Restorative Dentistry 2010 (RCS). He is a registered specialist with the General Dental Council (GDC) in periodontology, one of only two specialists on the Fylde coast.
He is a recognised specialist for gum treatments and has placed over 4000 dental implants since 1989 both in private practice at various locations as a visiting specialist and at Manchester Dental Hospital.
Gary is a nationally recognised lecturer on dental Implants and gum treatment, having lectured both for the Dental training department in Manchester and internationally for the Royal College of Surgeons on the dental Implant diploma training program in Germany. He was also active in the initial foundation of The London Dental Implant Study Club that became the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI).
Since starting St Annes Dental Clinic (Fylde Coast Dental Implant Centre) in 1996 the clinic has grown to one of the most recognised referral centres on the Fylde Coast for dentists wishing specialist treatment for their patients in aspects of dental implants and gum treatment. It is one of only a handful of local dental clinics that has multi trained dental specialists permanently based at one clinical site. Gary is also passionately committed to providing high quality National Health Service dentistry for local patients in the North West and thus the clinic has expanded from a single dentist in 1996 to 6 dental surgeons today.
In his spare time Gary likes to spend time with his family, play golf and commit himself to further study in all matters dental.
Manesh graduated from the University of Manchester in 2009 and did his Vocational Dental Training at St Annes Dental Clinic straight after qualification. He has since worked as a senior house officer at the East Lancashire Healthcare Trust in the Medical Speciality of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His experience at the hospital helped him to gain membership at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Outside of Dentistry, Manesh has a keen passion for travelling the world with his backpack! He also enjoys Scuba Diving, Football and Cinema. He is currently learning to play Golf in his spare time.
Neil qualified from Newcastle University in 1998 after which he completed his vocational training in the North East. For the last 14 years, he has practised at Great Eccleston Dental Surgery as lead dentist, undertaking a wide range of NHS and private Dental treatments, including restoring implants, removable orthodontics, using invisible trays and the Inman Aligner System.
Alongside his clinical practice, Neil has also undertaken a number of roles to support the professional development of other dentists and has worked as a Dental Appraiser for the Primary Care Trust.
Outside of work Neil is very much a family man, enjoying spending time with his wife and two young children. He is a keen sportsman, both as a spectator and a player, an avid reader and experimental cook.
With over 10 years of experience in all aspects of dentistry, we are delighted to introduce our new dentist, Phil Bowden, who joins the practice on 1st July 2021.
Phil graduated from Lancaster University in 2010 with a first-class honours degree in Biological Sciences. He then had a year out during which he decided to explore the option of dentistry, which combined his love of working with his hands with the scientific grounding of his degree. He came to St Anne’s Dental Clinic in 2011 to observe Gary Hills in surgery which reaffirmed his decision to study dentistry.
Phil’s degree allowed him to enrol on the BDS programme locally in Preston, with clinics in Blackpool. He graduated with honours in 2015 and worked in general dentistry until he was personally headhunted by Gary Hills to join the clinic. He is very much looking forward to the next chapter of his career here at St Anne’s Dental Clinic. In his spare time, Phil likes to spend time in his garage tinkering with old cars, taking walks with his family and their three dogs and mountain biking.

Daisy gained a BSc degree in psychology and then an MSc degree in Medical Sciences from Newcastle University in 2016. She then went on to complete her BDS degree at the University of Central Lancashire, qualifying as a dentist in 2020. Daisy is about to undertake a course on composite bonding in London.
After leaving sixth form in 2013 I was not sure what I wanted to do as a career. My friend Jaime worked at the practice at the time and informed me there was a job going so I thought id go for it and see where it takes me… 10 years later I am here as admin lead!
I started as a trainee dental nurse and once qualified, I realised I enjoyed the admin side so went down that career path gaining qualifications in; Business administration, higher dental reception lead skills and advanced dental practice manager. I am always looking to learn new things therefore have recently enrolled in an HR course. St Annes Dental Clinic has opened a lot of opportunities for me, and I am extremely grateful.
I would not be where I am if it were not for St Annes Dental Clinic and the support of Gary. I am incredibly happy in my job role and working with a great team.
Lucy joined the team in July 2013. She has passed her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing and has registered with the GDC. Lucy decided to go down the administrative/managerial path and has now gained the following qualifications – level 2 diploma in Business Administration, Dental Reception Lead, Level 3 Practice Management and is now working towards Level 3 in HR. She has now taken on the role of admin lead.
I started at St Anne’s Dental Clinic in 2014 as a trainee dental nurse as I wanted a new challenge and a career, in which I could progress in. I thoroughly enjoyed the training I received and after qualifying as a dental nurse I was eager to do more so went onto the dental radiography course, the opportunities that are given working at St Anne’s Dental Clinic are amazing and they have always supported me through courses throughout my career.
I now have qualifications in orthodontic nursing and impression-taking. I am now working towards completing a treatment coordinator course. From starting as a trainee dental nurse 9 years ago to now being the practice clinical lead, I could not think of a better place to work.
Leigha joined the clinic in 2014 and has worked her way up the dental nursing career path to become our clinical team lead. Leigha is highly qualified and after gaining her dental nursing certificate has achieved further qualifications in orthodontic nursing, radiography, and impression taking and recently passed a treatment co-ordinator course. Leigha mainly works closely with Lucy helping with all the administrative managerial duties alongside her clinical lead role.
Tasha qualified as dental nurse in 2015 and joined us at the practice in 2019. Tasha has recently achieved her certificate in dental radiography and has recently passed her sedation qualification. She loves being a part of the dental implant team.
Sam works mainly with the implant team and joined the practice in 2012 as a trainee dental nurse. She passed her national certificate in dental nursing and has registered with the GDC.
Additionally, Sam has achieved her certificate in dental radiography, dental implant nursing, and sedation qualification and is now currently working towards her Minor Oral Surgery qualification.
Sam is very passionate about preventative care and protecting children who may be in a vulnerable situation, therefore she has recently taken on the role of the practice ‘Was Not Brought Champion’.
Lauren joined the practice in October 2019 as a trainee dental nurse.
She has passed her Level 3 Diploma in dental nursing and has registered with the GDC.
Lauren has passed her radiography qualification; she is the practice trainer and is responsible for delivering dental nurse training to our new starters working towards their dental nurse qualification.
Natasha joined the practice in October 2019 as a trainee dental nurse. She has recently passed her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing and has registered with the GDC. Natasha has an interest in Invisalign and is working with our treatment coordinator, Leigha caring for Manesh and Daisy’s Invisalign patients.
Lucy joined the practice in January 2021 as a trainee dental nurse. She passed a level 3 in dental nursing diploma in summer 2023 and has recently taken on the role as our social media & marketing lead to regularly update our social media account and website.
Lucy helps Lauren to train our new trainee dental nurses working towards their qualification and as well as working in surgery assisting our dentists, she is also part of our reception team as she loves chatting with our patients!
Jennifer joined the practice in January 2023 as a trainee dental nurse. She recently achieved her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing in summer 2024.
Katie joined the practice in April 2023 as a trainee dental nurse. She is currently working towards her dental nurse qualification.
Chloe joined the practice in October 2024 as a trainee dental nurse. She is currently working towards her dental nurse qualification.
